Next steps for Valerie include continuing to seek out relief for the relentless itching caused by her allergies. She will continue with medication and frequent baths with medicated shampoo. In the next while, Valerie will visit the Edmonton Holistic Veterinary Clinic to explore other options for her skin.

ADR can issue receipts for any donation over $10; please let us know if you’d like a receipt. For those who choose to make recurring payments, we will send one receipt at the end of the year.
Just say yes when it asks if you want to donate your refund, select ADR from the list of charities and the money will automatically be sent to us. We can even issue you a tax receipt for anything over $10 if you want. Please note – you must select “request a tax receipt” for us to be notified.
ADR is pleased to collaborate with Good Goods, an Edmonton based company with a mission to curate an exceptional selection of small businesses and re-imagine how their goods can be brought to communities throughout Alberta.
ADR invites you to visit Good Goods and peruse their website. There is an abundance of wonderful items to consider, including the purchase of a beautiful hand painted card created by Nina Chernenko, a local artist from Sherwood Park, Alberta.
Nina would describe herself as a good mother, a dutiful nurse, and a proud Ukrainian. And like so many of us, Nina believes that a house is not a home without a dachshund (or two! or three!).
From her first dachshund, Mitzi, to her current one, Malou, Nina has always loved the doe-eyed, wiggly, sassy breed with all of her heart. Malou was the inspiration for the painting that has become this card. All proceeds from the purchase of this card will be donated to Alberta Dachshund Rescue. A win-win for you and for ADR!

*If you purchase items that can ship via regular postage such as greetings cards, your shipping fee will be refunded minus the postage fee.
