Maya - Pending ADOPTION
Maya is a 9 month old dachshund mix who is a cuddler and loves attention! Her foster is trying to teach boundaries, especially with food and people's space. Maya is not aggressive, but can be scared at feeding time. When it comes to people she just wants to cuddle or just be with you all the time. Maya is working on her housetraining as she does not like cold weather and chooses to use a pee pad instead of going outside. She is definitely going to make someone happy!

Monty- ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR ADOPTION!
Our boy Monty the friendly giant (around twenty pounds) is settling well and learning how to socialize with people and other dogs. So far so good. His foster family is really great at training their hounds! Monty just turned 3-years-old.
Monty has been getting on well with most other dachshunds and loves to play. The only challenge might be is that because he is a bigger boy, the other dachshund would need to be okay with a bit of rough play. |
Monty learns things quickly and needs a home that is willing to be consistent in continuing the socialization training that he has had. For example, Monty came into foster care unable to let people into the home without losing his mind. A technique that works well for him is to be kenneled while people are arriving. Once they are in and settled, he comes out, sniffs and checks them out, and is their best friend in 10 seconds.
Monty seems to get on well with children, but he might be better suited to a home without children or with ones that are older.
Monty is available for adoption now - but only to the right family. Because he can be loud, Monty needs a family who has a house - not a condo or a townhouse.

Dexter - ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR ADOPTION!
For a 12 year old dog, Dexter is agile and likes to snuggle with a blanket and warm lap! He has recovered well now from his dentals and neuter. He loves treats despite only having six teeth left and has a good appetite. His favourite toy is a squeaky chicken. He is still learning how to share personal space with the other two dogs in his foster home and would love to join the right family.

Daisy - getting to know her - NOT ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS AT THIS TIME
Introducing our newest senior girl Daisy. This sweetheart has had a previous back issue that she has recovered from. She walks a little funny but heck, after a back injury and getting older don't we all. At 10 years young she is pretty pawsome!
This little girl is in desperate need of a dental having a rotten mouth and some pretty bad infections as a result of it. Once she gets the care she needs we will be sharing more on her progress. She is quite the little doll and is such a sweetheart even just getting to know her. Once she is vetted, she will be ready for adoption! Stay tuned... |

Ginger - ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR ADOPTION!
Hi! I'm Ginger!
I am 5-years-old and came into care because I was really anxious. My foster family has been helping me through the anxiety and I am coming along really well. I'm only five years old and friendly. My foster brothers have taught me that it's ok when my humans leave - they always come back!! I'm also working on not being so scared when meeting new people - a couple of minutes of barking and I warm up pretty well. I've got a trip to the dentist planned, but I will be looking for my new forever home as soon as that's done. Do you have a great home with another great dachshund friend for me??? Not sure that I am ready to live with children yet... ADR does NOT home dogs on a first-come, first-serve basis. Each application is looked at carefully to find the best possible match for each dog. Duke & ruby - ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR ADOPTION!
Is your house a little lonely? Need some loyal company? Like snuggles in a quiet household? Have we got a deal for you!
Our pals Duke and Ruby are now vetted and available to their new home. This bonded pair is very cuddly and sweet once they settle in your home. At 9 years young they don't need a lot of physical effort and make great companions in your quiet home.
Duke is the black and tan boy. He should have been named Garfield as his favorite thing to do these days is eat and sleep. He is good with children but can bark when he feels the urge. Don't we all? He does require a low fat diet and has some dietary supplements that help him manage a bowel condition. He also takes Prednisone to manage it as well. They have bitten in past so will need someone quiet and calm to manage their fears if they arise.
Ruby is the light colored girl. She is very clingy with her people, likes kids a lot and is a bit anxious. Once she trusts you look out, you won't be able to get her away from you! She also can be a bit vocal but the good thing is you won't have to worry about getting broken into with her and her brother in the house. She doesn't always enjoy the car, but not always an issue.
This pair are brother and sister from the same litter. They prefer to be alone and not with other dogs but do get along with cats. Must be adopted together.
