ways to support adr

Thank you for considering supporting Alberta Dachshund Rescue! We can always use volunteers! More hands make the work lighter and enable us to help more dogs. ADR sometimes need volunteers to transport dogs to the vet or from foster home to new home. We need people to do reference checks and home visits. We often need people to represent ADR at annual events such as the Calgary or Edmonton Pet Expo, Wienerpawlooza in Calgary, or Muttstock in Edmonton which help us build awareness and raise funds. Check out our Events & Fundraisers page to learn more.
Alberta Dachshund Rescue couldn't do the work they do without volunteers willing to foster dogs until they are ready to find their forever home. If you are interested in fostering a pup, please learn more about this important role and how to apply. ADR is especially in need of homes willing to provide foster care for dogs with IVDD. Many of these dogs go on to live a full and happy life, but require some special care to get them ready to go to a new home. Learn more about fostering a dog with IVDD here.
Alberta Dachshund Rescue can always use dog food, treats, leashes, collars, harnesses, old towels & blankets, piddle pads, cleaning supplies, newspapers, crates (especially wire crates), and more. Almost any dog items you are no longer need, we can find a use for! If you have something you would like to donate, please drop it off at our adoption events anytime or contact us and we will try to arrange pick up. Thank you!!!
