Foster a dachshund!
Alberta Dachshund Rescue could not do the work they do without volunteers willing to foster dogs until they are ready to find their forever homes. We do a careful job to match dogs up with potential foster families based on the information provided on the foster form. Once ADR has received your application form, it will be reviewed and if we receive a surrendered dachshund that looks like it might have a good fit with your home, we will reach out to contact you.
ADR is especially in need of homes willing to provide foster care for dogs with IVDD. Many of these dogs go on to live a full and happy life, but require some special care to get them ready to go to a new home. Learn more about fostering a dog with IVDD here.
If you are willing to foster a dog with IVDD, please send us a message through our contact page to flag your application. Thank you!
