Alberta Dachshund Rescue is committed to assisting Dachshunds in need. Every donation received goes back to the dogs in our care, whether to cover veterinarian or rehabilitation fees, special foods or medicines. We encourage and support adoption from rescues and we thank you for supporting Alberta Dachshund Rescue!
Alberta Dachshund Rescue has never said no to someone who has to surrender their dachshund. We will do our best to support and work with an owner to help them find a way to keep their dog, but when it comes down to the bottom line, we will always take a dog in. ADR has had some tough cases - dogs that were literally on their last legs and with little hope - but with the phenomenal support we receive from supporters of ADR, almost all of our dogs have been able to go on to find their forever homes.

Alberta Dachshund Rescue (ADR) is made up of a group of dog lovers from across the province of Alberta who focus their efforts on matching dachshunds in need with families who will love them forever.
We are raising money to help cover the high vet costs of the dogs in our care. This photo is of June Bug, who came to ADR after her owner passed away. She required a dental and large mass removed from her chest. Her vet bill alone came to over $2,000.00

Paint Live is pleased to announce the "Your Inner Dogatello" paint party fundraiser in partnership with Help a Buddy Fund and Alberta Dachshund Rescue! Follow step-by-step instructions from Paint Live as they guide you in creating an art piece that will reflect your love for animals. When: June 15, 2024 from 3-5pm - DONE! Where: Blush Artistry Inc. Event Space, Sherwood Park Cost: $50 per person, plus an optionl donation of quality dog food, toys, or cash to the Alberta Dachshund Rescue at entry 100% of proceeds will be split between between the Help a Buddy Fund animal grant program, and dogs in care of Alberta Dachshund Rescue! |

What is Skip the Depot you ask??? It’s a service in Calgary and Edmonton where you can schedule a free pick up for your empty bottles & cans. The best part? You can donate your bottle refund directly to ADR!!! There is no charge for the pickup. However, they offer slightly lower deposit rates than a bottle depot to offset the costs of the pickup. So, head on over to Skip the Depot and turn your empties into a donation for ADR. How easy is that!!!
